  • I honestly want to give this place more than 2 stars as I think it was deserving of more. Here is why: Pros: The Falcon Field location has awesome views of the runway. The beers were excellent. I enjoyed the grapefruit IPA which had locally sourced AZ grapefruit in it--a win in my book. The food is a great value for the money. We each ordered the burger and shared an appetizer. Everything tasted excellent. The burgers came with a variety of condiments in individual little plastic containers--this is a fresher, more sanitary serving option than a ketchup bottle that's been sitting on the table indefinitely. Oh and the side dishes--our burgers came with a choice of two sides. Like I said, good value for the money. The wait staff were super friendly, cheerful, and helpful. Cons: I don't understand the vibe of this place. It feels like an exclusive club. We visited the Falcon Field location after visiting the Downtown Mesa location where a restaurant full of patrons (no tables were available) glared at us. There's no hostess; both locations are self-seating. At Falcon Field there were more tables open, yet some of the clientele looked at us cross-eyed. Did we interrupt a private event? The friendly and cheerful waitstaff made me feel more at ease... Being a Saturday evening when we visited there was live music. We actually enjoyed the music, albeit a few decibels quieter wouldn't have hurt either. After we finished our food and beers and paid our bill we proceeded to exit--just as other patrons had done before us. The musician stopped his set and called us out, humiliating us about how we "didn't like his music and were just walking out." Humiliated, we kept walking and didn't turn back. Don't full restaurants normally want to turnover tables? In summary: great staff, great food, great beer, great value for the money. I want to give this place another try. I hope next time the vibe isn't so cliquish and off-putting.
