| - Well, I guess my stay was a bit different of an experience than others, and not all hotel guest stays are necessarily a bad one.
We were there this past weekend and when we drove up, we were immediately greeting by the valet attendants who were very nice, friendly and professional. We decided to self-park however, they allowed us to keep our car out front at the valet while we checked in and then were able to not only get our things up to our room, but kept the car there until we came back down minutes later and left. They made sure that we had a parking ticket to put on our vehicle to ensure it was not towed.
When we got to the check-in desk, the gentleman who assisted us greeted us right away, was friendly, professional and directed us to where the hotel immenities were (i.e. pool and fitness room). We interacted with the front desk personnel a few times and each time, they were very friendly and professional.
The fitness room had everything needed for us to get our am/pm workouts in. We unfortunately, didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked refreshing; lots of tables covered to sit at and even a snack booth.
That night, at about 3 am, there was a room full of young men who thought that it must have been noon and not the middle of the night; talking loud, not sure if they were jumping around, been drinking; who knows. What I do know is that I ended up calling their security. We immediately heard the security who we believe had to call the police and moments later, you heard nothing but them taking immediate handle of the situation. When I called them, the front desk advised they would handle immediately and apologized.
Our checkout was easy with concierge getting our bags from our room, offering us water to take with us on our travels and thanked us for staying with them.
Would we stay there again? Yes. Especially the price we paid was very reasonable for being a summer weekend.
Only a few minor things:
- our hotel phone did not work so when I called their front desk that night, I used my cell phone and called them.
- the rooms could be updated a bit; i.e. USB ports are very beneficial as charging stations (we travel a lot and most hotels now are putting them in the rooms and taking away the old prong plugs).
- furniture and overall look of the room need a "facelift".
Overall, our stay was a nice one, close to shopping and restaurants and centrally located!
