We missed a package delivery yesterday. The employee that answered DHL's phone instructed us to come to this location "after 6:30" (she was asked to repeat this because we thought going after 6:30 didn't sound right and she gave this same instruction twice!) and we would be able to receive the package. We arrived at the office as instructed to find out they were closed. Upon another phone call to DHL, we discovered that EVEN IF we'd shown up before 6:30, we would NOT have been able to receive the package because of blah blah blah (random reason). Needless to say, we were not happy campers yesterday and even though we rarely use DHL, I would definitely prefer never to use them again. On the bright side though, we received a voicemail (I guess it was from yesterday, we just didn't receive it) from the driver and he was really nice. So maybe all employees at DHL are not as incompetent (for lack of a better word) as the one who instructed me to arrive after closing time for a package that wouldn't be ready anyway. Yeah, what?
