  • La Taguara is a gem. I feel guilty for not eating at their flagship store after checking out their new spot on E Johnson. The food is delicious and authentic. The interior is bright, colorful, and very clean. I was warmly greeted by the woman at the counter and she asked if I'd been there before. I told her I hadn't and she gave me some pointers about the menu. I went with the Patacon Pisao with beef and it was AMAZING. I didn't know what to expect (she explained it as a sandwich on a crispy plantain) but it was soooo good. Will go again and again.
