Flown into Toronto City Centre multiple times. 5-stars for the location. The airport is right downtown. Like the good old days when you could fly into Meigs Field in Chicago.
Porter FBO is expensive and I don't think the services reflect the high prices, they are just gouging based on being in downtown Toronto. I get that it's a primo spot and Toronto is an expensive city, but this year new management raised rates even more. Before, you could get in for free if you were in and out in under 1-hour.
The new policy is 1 hour or less = $16. More than 1 hour = $50 or overnight = $60 for a single engine piston. Ouch! There usually are not even cookies at the FBO or any snacks :( and last time I was here on a Saturday, the Starbucks coffee they brewed was lukewarm.
Large fees just for parking on the ramp = OUCH. I'll still be back though. Not really any other choices as far as I can tell if you want quick access. You can also go through customs right away at this airport and be on your way to downtown Toronto in no time.
