This place is outstanding. I've popped into a few different yoga studios around town and each has their own flavor and focus. For the last few years, the trend in Vegas yoga has been hot yoga. I appreciate the discipline, but I'd started to wonder if there was a place I could go that offered a different perspective.
Through my search, I discovered two new businesses to love: Blue Sky Yoga and Tru Yoga. I find that both places speak to the spirit I was slacking in my yoga journey. So often people think of yoga as a way to get fit. People want to sweat and employ yoga as part of an exercise routine. There is nothing wrong with that. But there are those who are looking for a practice that values focusing on expanding spirit, meditation, and awareness.
Sure, I want to be more flexible and I enjoy the physical benefits I see in my body, but what I am really seeing is a connection that goes well beyond the physical. And until I found Blue Sky and Tru Yoga, I was feeling less connected to my yoga practice.
Tru Yoga offers a range of classes that are taught by excellent instructors. These instructors will seek to learn your name when you arrive. The studio is small enough that they will recognize you when you return or join a new class. They will talk with you about your physical limitations and tailor the directions to meet the needs of everyone in the room. I am blown away at how much I learn in every single class I take.
In addition to the wonderful weekly classes, I LOVE that they offer additional teaching series. Their beginners series takes participants though the intention for specific moves and allows us to engage with postures under the watchful eye of incredibly knowledgeable and interested yogis. I feel so much more connected to my practice as a result. I love Tru Yoga.
