I would give Dinette 3.5 stars if I could. To start, my date ordered a lovely cucumber/barley/tomato/basil salad that was possibly the highlight of the meal. I started with a caesar salad which was basically half a head of lovely romaine with an ample portion of Parm-Reggiano and their house caesar dressing, which I found a bit strong on the anchovy side of things.
We followed the salads with a grilled eggplant pizza that was just right. While some might consider it scant on the toppings, the 4 or 5 pieces of grilled eggplant, kalamata olives and cheese was well seasoned, full of flavor and didn't need to be weighted down by anything else.
My main complaint is that service was sub-par. I appreciate being left alone and don't mind a cold, unpersonable server but this was a bit to the extreme.
Seem to have a good thing going, hope they can make it!
