| - WOW...reading the negative reviews for Gaudin Ford blew me away. Had I thought to read the Yelp reviews prior to bringing my car in for service, I defiantly would have taken my Ford Edge elsewhere. That said, I am certainly glad that I did not read the reviews until after I picked up my Ford Edge as not only did I have a great experience, I was practically treated like royalty!
Approximately 11-months ago, I purchased a 2011 Ford Edge from Fairway Chevrolet. Two weeks ago, my breaks went to the floor and I was barely able to stop my vehicle. As the problem persisted, I looked to Google for answers and found that other Ford Edge owners were experiencing the same problem. As it turns out, this was due to a faulty power break booster, which Ford would be willing to replace free of charge.
I contacted the nearest Ford dealership, Gaudin Ford, and scheduled an appointment for 7am on 2/20/2018. Due to reasons unnecessary to mention, I was not able to make my 7am appointment. With that, I phoned Gaudin Ford and asked if I could still come-in around 9am, which was cheerfully granted.
When I arrived to Gaudin Ford, I pulled into the clearly marked service lane and was quickly approached by a customer service rep. After explaining that I was late for my 7am appointment, the rep kindly instructed me to pull forward into the service garage.
In a world where REAL customer service seems but a distant memory to me, I was actually surprised that I was asked to pull right into the service area as my past experience with other dealerships, especially if late, so typically resulted in me pulling my car into an adjacent parking slot and waiting in queue for hours upon hours.
After pulling into the service garage, I was quickly greeted by a personable service rep who immediately asked for my keys, took pertinent info and introduced me to Service Advisor John Trent. From there, John would facilitate everything having to do with my vehicle from start to finish.
After explaining the problem with my Ford Edge, John said he would contact me with the results of the mechanic's assessment by noon. John then escorted me into the showroom and introduced me to a personable young lady who in turn arranged a quick shuttle home with [their] in-house driver, Brian.
Incidentally, the area lobby is a decent place to hangout if one chooses to wait while [their] car is being serviced. They offer a full array of free fountain drinks and a well-stocked coffee bar that includes such options as lattes, cappuccino, tea and hot chocolate.
My ride home with Brian was fun as he has great sense of humor. As promised, John phoned me with a status update and informed me that my Ford Edge would be ready for pickup within 1 1/2 hours. John also offered to phone Brian and schedule my return ride to Gaudin Ford to pickup my vehicle.
Upon returning to Gaudin Ford, John extend a cheerful greeting and proceed to process my exit paperwork in a swift and expeditious manner. John mentioned a few additional problems with my Ford Edge, but did so in such a way that I did not feel pressured. As an added bonus and totally free of charge, Gaudin Ford washed my car!
