4 Peaks Brewery 5 stars, nearby Wilderness Brewery 4 stars, so under that light, Beer Research Institute ... 3 stars.
I have yet to be wowed by any of the beers they brew in house. Stopped in at least 10 times and have yet to find one I liked enough to order a second. Perhaps I have bad timing, but no matter, they always have a nice selection of unique guest beers on tap. There I always find a winner.
The bar food is the real highlight at the moment, here they beat Wilderness IMO. I really love the green chili Mac & Cheese with Machaca, awesome fresh cut french fries.
The atmosphere's a bit raw, lighting is a tad harsh, rough around the edges if you know what I mean ... While they have made some minor upgrades over the past year, there's still plenty of room for improvement.
I'll keep trying ... if they keep trying ... I really want every local brewery to succeed.
