| - As someone else wrote, I would give 0 stars if possible.
First of all, the guys who picked up my stuff were extremely unprofessional. Or one was. I could hear screaming from inside my house, and it turns out he was in his truck screaming at his gf/wife on the phone, telling her to just effing leave if she wanted to. That should have been my first clue.
Second, they showed up stinking like alcohol. They'd obviously had a rough night.
My stuff was supposed to be dropped off on July 19th. No one contacted me. I called them in early july to confirm the date, turns out they wanted to drop it off 2 weeks early. I said we do not have the house yet. You can't drop it off, the date was previously confirmed. I don't have a house until July 18.
Tina or Kendra (can't remember which) told me they would call me back. She did call me back and asked me if there was a garage attached to my new house that they could leave my stuff in.
Um no. I PAID for a service and that service included you putting my furniture back together and putting it in the PROPER rooms.
She seemed put off by this, and said ok I will call you back.
4 days passed and she hadn't called back. SO I called again. She said oh, I thought i left you a message (she hadn't). She said we will drop your stuff off either on or close to the 19th of July.
So on the 19th of July, i call. Since no one confirmed a date. They said they didn't know where my stuff was and would call me back.
I called on Monday, July 21st. Turns out my stuff was arriving the next day. Would they have called me to let me know? I doubt it. We were actually still in an apartment at this time (as we had no furniture in the new house). So I had to drive 30 mins to meet the movers. I have to say the movers I met up with were super nice. However, some of my stuff was in pretty rough shape. A rocking chair was literally in pieces, and the seat part was missing. Our smoker was bashed in. Not to mention all the scratches, dents, etc on our other pieces of furniture.
Boxes were caved in. Numerous items were broken. The mover said when he picked up the load it looked like it had just been thrown in.
Needless to say, I was extremely upset. To think that people who MOVE people for a LIVING would have this much disrespect for someone's things is absolutely appalling.
The mover took pictures of the damage, as did I.
I called Tina...or Kendra. Left messages. Emailed.
DId I get a response? No.
This company is the absolute worst. do NOT go with them if you value your possessions in the slightest.
And shame on you relocation services Canada!! You should not be in this business if you have no respect for other people or their possessions. Believe me, the bbb will be hearing about you.
Again DO NOT go with these people!!! I wish I had listened to the reviews before I went with them. WORST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!!!!!
