  • I used to love this place until I dealt with some uppity older guy there. When I walked in on a Saturday (late morning) I asked if they had any French bread. The guy laughed/snorted and said very condescendingly, "You have to get here before 11am on a Saturday if you want French bread." Really? Well, I did get my French bread. I got it at their competitors shop....Black Bird Bakery, a few blocks away. I was so insulted. I still repeat this story to people when they ask where to buy awesome baked bread.
