  • We have lived in our home for 8 months now , and still COLONY HAS NOT FIXED THE THINGS PROMISED TO ME AT THE TIME OF MOVED IN. there is still safety hazards in my backyard were my kid cannot go out and play, drain sticking out of the floor , broken sharp tiles and no edge finishing which is not under code. . its ridicules , NEVER has a colony representative gone out to the property to see what's going on . I have to go send pictures or they send multiple contractors and to get their input and maybe the work gets done after I call numerous times . I have no problems with the contractors , its colony staff and company .. every person I have dealt with has not done what they say they were going to do OR is no longer working with the Colony , I have strong ties with the real-estate community in Miami FL and colony started with a great reputation, one that is one of the reasons we decided on our current home, we thought because a company was going to be the landlord, things will get done. WRONG . Colony reputation in is Sothern florida is extremely bad in the real state field and in the contractors field.. It's a real shame because we really love our home. so much so , that I have payed with my own money to fix numerous things that colony just has not followed through.. horrible customer service from colony , again not from the contractors.
