| - I got a chance to see the new production show at the Cosmo last night and unfortunately, it is the worst shows I've ever seen. I'm a huge fan of Absinthe, so naturally I was excited to see what the guys from Spegielworld came up with, but it was extremely annoying. Opium felt like a really terrible SNL skit that was 90 mins longer than it needed to be. The whole thing is so bizarre, the comedy felt forced during so many occasions, and the nudity and obnoxious-ness was kind of repugnant. The Cosmopolitan is one of the best hotels on the strip and it delivers on so many things that it pursues: great restaurants, amazing accommodations, unique atmosphere, but this is such a huge failure. The show relies too much on its presumed shock value and irrelevant Queen covers, it's one of those cringe-y things to watch. There were a few honest laughs and the sexy girl in the bubble was cool, but my advice is save your money and eat at one of the restaurants on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the BLVD tower instead or head to the Fremont canopy, where the acts are equally repugnant and tasteless, but atleast there it's free ?.
