| - It's been a while since I've been to this location (before I moved to Chicago), but I have continued communication with them since you need to go through the location you signed up with to put your membership on hold. They continue to be just as wonderful as they were when I used to work out there. I signed up about 2 years ago at this location. At the time, I lived downtown so really could go to any location since none were super close. I went to my First Shot Free (free intro class) at a location on the east side and came to my second class here since I was in the area running errands with the intention of signing up. They had me complete my workout and then fill out the necessary paperwork. I liked the trainer better here and trainers who helped me sign up were wonderful - so I continued to come back to this location.
The workout itself is great! I was so nervous coming into it, because I am chronically OUT of shape and while I needed something to kick my butt, I didn't want to feel like a complete failure. There's a huge age range of the clientele here and everyone is at a different fitness level. The "warm up" is 15 minutes - I put warm up in quotes because it was always a workout in itself for me - squats, lunges, jumping and running in place, jacks, etc. The next 30 minutes is 8 intervals of punches and kicks with squats, jumps, etc mixed in. There are short rests in between, but you're working REALLY hard. The last 15 minutes is "cool down"/core work. I would stick around after the hour to stretch. Overall, a wonderful workout!! I would leave drenched in sweat each time.
I've been to other locations and will say I liked the trainers here the best. Since moving to Chicago, I started other programs and didn't have a convenient way of getting to the Title closest to me (got rid of my car when I moved here). I called Westlake initially to cancel, but the girl I spoke with advised me to just keep placing my membership on hold if I thought I would ever want to come back - her reason made a lot of sense - I was grandfathered into a membership that allowed me to go to any Title gym which they do not offer anymore. I've just called each time my membership is coming off hold and each person has been so understanding accommodating in placing it back on hold. I definitely hope a new location opens up that's more convenient to me so I can start using it again.
