  • I am very dissatisfied with the quality of work. This dealership misdiagnosed my vehicle problem and put my family at risk. While on a road trip from Phoenix, Arizona to Salem Oregon, the air conditioning in my 2007 Tundra goes warm. I diverted to Las Vegas and went to the service drive at this dealership at 6:30am the following morning. The technicians waited almost two hours for the A/C to fail, finally it does and they assume the amplifier switch needs to be replaced under the dash. This is a $700 job and of course, the part needs to be ordered in. Another day in the hotel. The next day, its installed and I'm on the road again. Before I am even out of Las Vegas, the A/C fails again in the exact manner as previously. I immediately call the dealer, very upset as I am having to drive across the hottest desert, at the hottest day, on July 31st. I am very upset and informed the dealer I was. I had my wife and two babies in the backseat. A 1-mth, and a 17-mth old. As we are driving through the Mojave desert at 117 degrees with two young children in the backseat, the service advisor, Tom Bleming, calls me back and apologies and says his Service Manager Gerry is behind me 100% and to get to a Toyota dealer as soon as I arrive in Salem. I did so and sent Tom an email informing him that I dropped the vehicle off at Capitol Toyota. In the first few minutes at Capitol Toyota, they diagnosed the problem by checking the A/C system with their charging station (duh!) and saw that its pressure was 250lbs when normal is 150lbs. They immediately suspected the expansion valve was plugged. They removed it and saw black slime on it which came from the compressor. Compressor replaced, $3000 job and very satisfied A/C is running perfectly. Why couldn't Centennial Toyota do the same? You would think a Las Vegas dealership knows something about air conditioning? During this whole process, I am emailing Tom Bleming at Centennial Toyota. I sent him several emails and he never responded once. I finally called and left a message with all details and he never called me back. Finally, I write this review. I am angry for the incompetent work, I am angry for ignoring me. I purchased this truck brand new from Centennial and this is how they treat their customers. I will never go back and will continue with leaving negative reviews on both Google and Yelp so that others may be aware of the shotty work they can receive at this dealership. I'm also considering filing a complaint with the BBB.
