  • Dicks is a great store for multiple sports needs. Golf, Tennis, Soccer, Football, Running, you name it, they should have what you need. My only issue, with this location at least, is the staff is not well trained. A month ago I was shopping for soccer shoes for my daughter and the gal in the back shoe area couldn't tell me what the different between a pair of soccer shoes was. They looked exactly the same but w/different color soles but one was $49.00 and the other $89.00. She said the difference was in the color of the sole. Yeah, I don't think so. We wanted to go with the cheaper one but when we got to the cash register the price rang up for the higher one. I wound having to go back to get the correct one. That is a hassle in itself, bc, these type of places that require you to go through a sales rep in order to try on a shoe, make the customer wait way too long to for service. I really wish stores would do away with this type of set up. I want to go into a store, pick out the shoe I want and try it on right then and there. I do not want to have to wait 20 minutes for an available rep. When that shoe doesn't fit I now have to wait for the rep again. NO NO NO! I signed up for the membership card......The next time I came in I found out they put my name under Bev instead of Beth. :( The other day I was in the store & I purchased a soccer bag that had a clearance sticker on it but it didn't have any bar codes so I had to stand at the cash register waiting for someone in the back to try to find a similar bag with a similar price tag. Come on Dicks, get it together. This location really needs to train it's staff.
