| - When a local Yelper found out I was going to Vegas she told me I -HAD- to see Absinthe, it was so up my alley: Raunchy, badwy, and irreverent, she was sure I would love it. At first, i didn't know if I should be insulted or not, but then I decided I didn't care, I'd just check out the show.
Prices for tickets weren't terrible, and I could have gotten a discount, if the guy had been standing where he needed to be, but it'd been raining and all that jazz, so I missed out on saving $22 on each ticket (LOOK for the guy in the white coat and red cumberbun by the gate if you're going to get tickets)
I'm ok that I paid full price though, the show was totally worth it. The setting is theatre in the round style, with aerial acts and table acts, and what have you. Everything happens all around you, and it's completely immersive. If you are the slightest bit offended by LANGUAGE, SEXUALITY, NUDITY do not go. This will not be the show for you.
The show its self has some Amazing performances: The balance act, the green fairy, the contortionist on the aerial hoops, the first love between girls, the Body guards, the Frat pack, The Flyers (I love silks!) The balloon Girl - she's pretty amazing and of course I can't forget about the roller skaters, tap dancers or the Polish gymnasts. Everyone is amazing, The physiques on the Russians and the Polish gymnasts are just WOW. Chiseled does not begin to describe what you'll see.
There is humor, there is sex, there is something for everyone over 21. DO NOT bring kids to this as you'll be out the door in the first 30 seconds after the narrator comes on stage. The signature cocktail is $11.00 so go easy on those.
