  • Breaking news. Diamond resorts international sold us a 3 night stay with a timeshare tour at the Bell Rock Inn, Sedona, AZ then refused to accommodate us and in fact called the police on us for trespassing, then kicked us out in the middle of the night without a refund or help with accommodations - nothing. Upon arriving at our resort after a 12 hour drive, we were told we had no reservation at that hotel. Ever. I produced my bank statement showing the charge, one paper confirmation letter and one email, all from diamond resorts international. The manager, Seth Gibson was called, and after a very long time searching the computer, he again said there was no reservation made. He offered to rent us a room for the regular rate of $286 a night plus resort fees and taxes. We refused to pay and said we will just sleep in the lobby. Set up camp. Watched while three other couples checked in behind us. Manager called back and offered us a room for the rack rate of $98 a night but only for two nights, not the three we paid for. Again, we showed our bank statement with the charge on it the day before the confirmation letter was even sent. Still wouldn't budge. We stayed put in the lobby and asked for pillows. Just as the kids finally wound down to sleep on the lobby couch and floor, the police were called on us for trespassing. We explained what had happened. The officer called Seth Gibson back twice to talk him into finding us a room at another property for at least the night. The manager refused, so we were forced to wake up our kids at 1:00 am and drive 2.5 hours in 18 degree ice and snow weather on a very windy mountain road, which had Gracie bawling her eyes out in the back about how were all going to die. We didn't die. We made it to a crappy motel room in Holbrook, paid for a night, passed out at 3:30 am. We just left to see what we can do at this point, as far as continuing on at a very high expense after we already paid to go there or just driving back home. If you have ever been screwed by this shitty travel company, please post your story here. It will help our civil case.
