rev:text	We chose the Grand Canyon sunset tour of the South Rim which we took in April 2016. Initially, I found this company while booking a trip of the West Rim for my parents a couple years back. They were so delighted with the tour that they highly recommended that my husband and I book with Grand Adventures. Our tour started bright and early and returned around midnight. Dylan was our guide and driver for the day and he was great. There were two other couples and one mysterious single guy on our tour. One of our first stops after the hotels was McDonald's. As we continued on our way, Dylan did a great job providing context of the areas which we passed although I wish I was awake for some of it! We got more than enough notice for bathroom breaks. The stops at Hoover Dam and Seligman were nice and gave us a chance to stretch our legs. Once at the Grand Canyon, we had our lunch - sandwiches that were labelled with whatever was requested during online booking. We spent a decent amount of time at the canyon but wished there was more time to explore. There was a bit of haze and I think that marred my expectations of the great splendor of the canyon. The 3/10 hiking they mention should probably be a 4/10 if you're not a regular stair-climber. There was one fairly steep trail we climbed and I felt bad for this one older woman in her 60s who was probably expecting the 3/10! The slight haze made for a nice sunset. It did get cold once the sun set so bring an extra layer if you're prone to cold. What sort of sucked on this trip was that we were seated in the back the whole time and it was quite bumpy. Other than that, it was a great experience to get a taste of the Grand Canyon.
