| - jeez. i don't even know where to start on this. so for starters, i wasn't even able to sell anything here because the owner has to be there to make an offer, which he wasn't. i was just in town for that day, and the fact that he said that someone could get to it in the next few days was kind of a bummer. so despite their inability to take my CDs, i took a look around. the guy running the counter was very nice and helpful though, and i did appreciate that. now CDs are obviously the main focus of this place. they seem to have a pretty good selection of CDs. very unorganized, but a good selection none-the-less. sadly though, i don't buy CDs. i was there for vinyl and the amount of vinyl they had there was very disappointing. the whole place looked ram shackled. there was not much vinyl at the shack, and everything worthwhile was beat to death completely. almost everything was in absolutely terrible condition. in a lot of cases, the prices were atrocious as well. they seem to be business that thinks beatles on vinyl automatically equals $80. however, when Sargent Peppers is scratched up, the jacket is almost in two pieces, and is very faded this is a ridiculous asking price. i saw a trend in unusually high prices in a lot of different cases. i am not a picky music fan, but i literally couldn't find a single thing here that i actually wanted to buy. not impressed with the sugar shack.
note: don't be fooled by the photo on yelp that shows nice velvet underground, black flag, and white stripes records. i didn't see anything in this store that was even close to how nice the records in the picture are.
