My laptop was having issues with the battery not charging and the power cord not working properly on a consistent basis. The laptop/operating system worked fine as long as there was power to the laptop. It would take me several reboots to get it to work with the battery out or in.
I dropped it off and they tell me no repair, no charge. We'll, they said the power cord was bad and told me they'd order me one. So no charge and the price of the cord.
When I go to pick it up, they tell me the OS is bad. Funny that it never had this issue prior to me dropping it off. They say they can fix it quick for $120...how convenient. The guy that said he would order the cord "spaced" on it and never ordered one. So my original issue was never really addressed, but they find a new issue that I've never encountered.
I asked for a refund today as my laptop is in the exact same state it was in before I dropped it off. The power is hit or miss. Well, actually all hit this morning as it has been plugged in and running for over 4 hours with the "bad cord" and a dead battery. I was told I'd need to drive back so they could see my laptop. I'm not making a 4th trip out there to waste my time. I feel I was taken for $120 as I never had the issue they made me pay for until after they took in my laptop.
