| - We came here for our anniversary dinner and loved it! We were greeted for our reservation with a cute signed card from the staff congratulating us.
We had made the *mistake* of eating at Wicked Spoon for brunch earlier in the day, so we didn't get to try as many menu items at Bardot as we wanted to (glutton problems). We ordered cocktails to start, the Crowd Pleaser for him and Death in the Florida Straights for me. Both were excellent, I wanted to order 5 more of mine, because the spiciness was divine, but we had a show later I needed to be awake for.
We skipped appetizers, and he got the Heritage Chicken Roti and I had the filet mignon with steak frîtes. Ooooh man. My steak was a perfect rare, and so juicy tender perfect. The fries are cooked in beef fat and are pure decadence with mayonnaise. My husband was in love with his chicken, and we heard our waiter tell another table they were out of it as we were eating, so try not to miss it!
The restaurant itself is gorgeously decorated, and while we were sitting at a center table, it still felt quite intimate and romantic. Our waiter was great, and struck the perfect balance of attentive and unobtrusive.
By this point we were stuffed, which was a heartbreak, because I wanted to try their entire dessert menu. Truly, though, it gives us an excuse to come back on our next visit-- not that we really needed one.
