| - I wish I could give them 10 stars! Both Dr. Hehn's are truly as good as it gets. We used to take all our dogs to Dr. Hehn when he was at Banfield years ago. When he left Banfield we were so sad. We tried some other vets after his departure but they were just not Dr. Hehn. I then remembered his wife was a vet too and he had told me she had the same values. :) So, I started going to her and fell in love with her too! Who would have thought the two best vets in the valley would be married to each other?! Recently, I coincidentally ran into another Dr. Hehn fan at a birthday party. She informed me he opened his own practice. Finally! Whoo Hoo! So, I made an appointment and all is right with the world again.... minus two pups that had passed since then. :( She lived in Sun City and will be making the commute too.
Here is just one example of why Dr. Hehn is loved so much by our family and so many others. I could tell numerous stories from our past 4 pups but our current situation with our 17 year old cocker is the perfect example of what makes Dr. Hehn the great doctor he is and why we will never go to anyone else.
One of our pups is very sick right now. Our last visit we discussed how it may be "that time". :( I needed time to talk to my husband and process this. Dr. Hehn even offered to come to my home when "that time" comes and do it there. He never ceases to amaze me. I could not believe it. I did not know anyone did this now a days. That made me feel so much better. Saige could go peacefully at home on his blanket. What a gift. Until I decided, he gave Saige an antibiotic shot and anti nausea shot. Saige came back to life for about a week. Sadly, tonight he started having the same symptoms and I called Dr. Hehn's office. I spoke to Dr. Hehn and we decided he will probably have to live the rest of his short life on antibiotics in order to have any quality of life. I asked if this is a shot I can give him regularly or did I need to come in each time? He then amazed me again. Since I coincidentally live very close to him, he offered to meet me or come to my home and give Saige his shots. I offered to meet him somewhere but he knows I have 4 small kiddos that I would have to load up so he offered to come to my home and give him his shots. And, he did just that. If that does not get my point across that he is as good as it gets then I don't know what will. The only thing that would make him any better, is if he was a human doctor too! ;)
I cant say enough about Dr. Hehn and his wife Dr. Hehn. They are both caring and very honest. We have been to several veterinarians before we found Dr. Hehn. Every other vet seemed to price gouge us and want to do every test under the sun that we did not need. Dr. Hehn has never done this. I completely trust him and his wife to recommend only what is necessary and at a fair price. They have never made me feel bad if I chose not to do something. They often even recommend over the counter solutions such as shampoos, foods, etc. They are always more than happy to write me scripts so I can fill them at an outside pharmacy if it will save money (again though, his prices are very reasonable).
We drive quite a distance to his office and I would go even further. Trust me when I say they are worth the drive. You truly can not go wrong with either Dr. Hehn.
