| - This review is actually about an experience i had on Valentines day. First of all, i made the reservations over a week in advance, After reading all of the reviews here, I requested to be sat next to the windows to see the fountains. Upon arriving there, they sat us in the 2nd row from the window. I asked about it and they said it was 'first come first serve', even though i had requested it in my reservations. Luckily, the couple next to us heard and switched us seats because they had already eaten there before and seen the view. It was really sweet of the couple. We actually had to wait for our menu, even though we had already sat down, which was really weird. It took maybe 10 minutes or so for them to give us menus.
We ordered the yellowtail appetizer. For entrees, I ended up ordering the short rib agnolotti and my boyfriend ordered the chicken with a side of brussel sprouts. The yellowtail was so so, the fish was fresh but it didn't really have enough umph. The bread course was AMAZING. They had mascarpone butter, citrus oil and an olive tapenade that was to die for. i wasn't crazy about the agnolotti...I was actually pretty disappointed. There no actual sauce to the pasta, which for me was a misstep. Short rib and marrow are in nature very rich and oily but when i had it for leftovers, the oil was excessive to the point of it being disgusting. The brussel sprouts were the star of the night for me. Side dishes aren't usually that special but i could eat an entire bucket of these things if someone let me. I liked the chicken my boyfriend had but he didn't care for it. We ended the night with the nutella and vanilla bombolis and those were super delicious.
All in all, i think i would go again, but i would definitely order different things. I know he's known for his spaghetti and i totally regret to getting that.
