| - Went here a week ago for a wash and blow out. I recently broke my wrist and had surgery, so my hair had gotten pretty greasy. The combination of a bulky splint, pain, and limited finger mobility made washing my thick long hair impossible. I'd totally have just looked like an unwashed hobo until my arm healed, but I was starting a new job and needed to have some fresh looking locks that would last several days,
I made an appointment for 6pm on a Tuesday. Staff seemed friendly and I was seen on time.
Now, the bad stuff. As I mentioned, due to my injury and inability to wash my hair, my scalp was dirty. I can't really afford to go to salons often, so I was so excited to get a really good professional wash and feel clean again. The assistant who washed my hair basically swirled it around in some warm water. Seriously, it was as if a five-year-old was playing beauty salon on me.
She only used shampoo, unless she used a shamp/cond combo (but really? I have never had a combo used at a professional salon). It took about two minutes. My hair was still so greasy and heavy afterwards. So disappointing and just lazy. I told her at the start that I could not wash my hair, which is why I came, and I still got the worst shampoo ever. I'm still angry.
The stylist who did my hair was just okay. But she burned my (dirty) scalp a bit with the blow dryer. After it looked passable, but nothing I couldn't have done myself with both my hands. And the roots--gah, just gross feeling because of the bad wash.
Not going back.
