  • Took my car in for shuttering brakes. Paid $250 to have rotors resurfaced only. I was told the struts were bad which is what warped the rotors. They quoted $1270 to replace the struts. Called around and found several places quoting $650 for the same job. After talking to my neighbor (also a mechanic) found out the struts were fine and could have gotten rotors resurfaced at OReilly's for $20 each. Stereotypical car repair shop attempting to take advantage of customers' lack of mechanical knowledge
