My husband won his age division (70 to 74) in the Turkey Trot run on Thanksgiving day and received a coupon for a free 9" pie with the coupon expiring on 12/31/16. We decided to use the coupon for a New Year brunch we are hosting tomorrow. He drove from our home in Scottsdale to pick up a pie (28 miles 28 minutes to drive to Piefection). When he got to the pie store the coupon was not in the envelope--it had slipped out! The lady at the counter stated she needed the coupon and my husband called me from his cell phone as he was leaving the store. I found it and asked him to go back and see if I could scan the coupon and email it to the store but that was not acceptable to the lady. This is why you get one star on yelp! The scanned image was perfect, the coupon was expiring today so it would not be used in the future! Customer service is poor!! It would have been so simple to accept the scanned coupon in your email and make someone who had the best intentions leave your business happy and spreading a kind word--but instead ruin someone's day. So learn how to smile, loosen up, bend your rules, be kind and take customer service seriously!! Your business is one that we will never return to and we will not hesitate to share our story with others. I imagine your business intentions for the Turkey Trot coupons was to boost sales....bad decision today by Piefection.
