  • Best Vinyl Record Store in Arizona, in my opinion. This store stocks new an used vinyl records of the highest quality, in all genres. Have you ever bought a record that looks near mint, but, when you get it home it sounds scratched or muffled and terrible? The great thing about Record High is that they only sell clean records in true near mint condition, that have been cleaned on an expensive pro record cleaner, and placed in brand new high-end inner and outer sleeves. Instead of a gamble on quality, and the hassle of home cleaning my purchases, I can bring records home and listen to near perfect records, immediately. I don't even bother to check the condition on used titles, anymore. There is no need. The owner and staff are not only very friendly and helpful, but have excellent taste in their musical choices of what to stock in the store. There is one of the largest selections of audiophile pressings in the southwest at Record High. Record High pays the most for your records that you want to sell or trade, in the valley. Unlike many of the stores in the Phoenix area now, Record High seeks out whole collections and rare titles, to insure great new records are always arriving. The owner has contacts all over the US and internationally, so rare and desirable records pop up at R.H., on a regular basis. Allot of the stores now just rely on whatever trades or buys come in the door for their new stock. R.H. invests allot of money in brand new releases, for the store, and are always happy to order a record for you, if it is not in stock. They sell used turntables and cartridges. I bought a very nice vintage Phillips Electronic 312 turntable there, that was in like-new condition, an I have been very happy with it. Lastly, the owner and staff have relationships with the audiophile hi-fi equipment dealers in town, so if the they don't have the turntable or component you are looking for at the store, they will gladly refer you to where to go to find what you want. Unlike some stores that deal in quality records, no question is considered stupid, and you will not be treated with a snooty attitude. They know some are brand new to vinyl records, turntabes, cartridges, etc., and some are seasoned collectors. Record High has now become my "home" record store.
