| - In town to see the parents, and they said meet us at Dillon's. I immediately Yelped it to see where it was, what the menu looked like and of course, the reviews. My husband and I were a little concerned that it was going to be a bad experience because of the latest posts...it was NOT!! Though it is by far not "elegant", it is however, super country cute. We were greeted and sat. And immediately waited on by (I believe) Alyssa--she was charming and sweet. I can understand some of the reviews saying that they cater to a "certain crowd". Fine. Alyssa did an AWESOME job taking care of my 65 year old parents, asking exact questions and making sure their orders were correct and catered to their needs!! This really makes me happy. And I can understand it takes a lot of patience, but she did it with ease!!
They have a FULL menu, but it's the BBQ that was our agenda. Super succulent shredded pork, juicy pork ribs, ridiculously HUGE beef ribs, and the sides (I think between the 4 of us, we had them all) were very rich and tasty (mac-n-cheese and potato salad were off the hook!!). Their iced tea was FRESH and my mom's soda was perfectly bubbly!! We were given take-out containers with bags and were allowed to sit a little while so we could catch up! We had such an excellent lunch and visit with one another. Thanks Dillon's Thunderbird Crew!! And THANK YOU ALYSSA!!!
Post Script:
*Parking goes fast.
*The prices were completely affordable.
*The bar looks like a HUGE PLUS!!
*They are wheel-chair friendly.
*They have adorable "bibs" for the "ribs."
*And the unheard of: the other customers were friendly and generous--the kind woman next to us picked up MY napkin and gave it to me!!! Who does that???!!! GOOD PEOPLE DO!!!
