We stayed at the Renaissance for 4 nights and enjoyed having a very large bedroom overlooking Public Square at an incredibly good (group) rate. The hotel has a beautiful lobby - echos from the past with the original ceilings (1918) and marble work and it connects to Tower City and the casino (which is totally unexpected in downtown Cleveland). The staff were friendly and helpful - even when our rental car was returned to us by the valet with a new ding on the side. The hotel had messages waiting for us when we returned home following up on our report of the damage (fortunately small). Our room was clean and neat - not modern, but pleasant enough that we enjoyed having the large space and a huge walk-in closet. The only negative was having no control over the air conditioning so that we froze in the evenings. During the night, like all hotels, the air became much warmer. Would definitely stay here again although I would not do so if the posted room price of over $400/night were the rate.
