| - We paid $20 for an initial wedding dance consultation when we scheduled over the phone. My fiancé and I have no formal dance experience, but we had fun night out together and will definitely be looking into more dancing. The place was busy when we got there with a few couples finishing up from before us and a few on the dance floor learning and practicing their routines. There is a large main dance floor and it seems like there were one or two more smaller private dance floors. There is plenty of seating space on either side of the main floor. When we entered the studio we were immediately greeted by several employees who knew our names and were expecting us. We met with Emily, who I believe is one of the instructors, on a weekday. We really enjoyed her upbeat personality, enthusiasm, and thoroughness. She had scribbled down some notes and song suggestions for us and we spent 30 minutes going through a general questionnaire about our music interests, dance experience, expectations, and venue layout before a 30 minute mini dance lesson. Emily was willing to do whatever it took for us to be happy, comfortable, and confident. We never felt rushed or being sold on buying anything. At the end of our consultation Emily presented us with the different wedding packages and we were a bit shocked at the sticker price (to be fair, they were all private lessons). We expected at least 10 lessons as beginners, but even their 5 lesson package was more than we bargained for. Emily kindly gave us some time to discuss it privately and look over the packages before making a decision. We decided to wait and compare before committing.
