Hertz mistakenly charged me for fuel and service for my rental this month, even though I returned the rental car with a full tank of gas (as I always do when I rent a car). I purchased the gas seven minutes before returning the car. I had to send a copy of the gas-purchase receipt to Hertz in order to start the process for getting a refund; I'm awaiting a credit for the mischarge.
I'm very disappointed that this happened, because this same problem happened to me in November 2015, the last time I rented from Hertz out of the Cleveland Airport office on Maplewood Avenue. I was mistakenly charged for fuel and service, and had to go through the same trouble of contacting Hertz and submitting a gas-purchase receipt in order to get a credit.
Hertz obviously has a systemic problem at the Cleveland Airport office, and it hasn't been fixed.
