  • Ratty, torn-up rolling office chairs with a print that died a violent death somewhere around 1991 are not exactly what I think of when I hear "gourmet pizza," but we were quite hungry, so I didn't even consider walking out. Not much vegetarian on the menu, though it'd be easy enough to come up with a pizza that didn't involve meat if you were so inclined. I went for the pasta and salad lunch special. My "whole wheat" penne looked like ordinary pasta to me, but the spicy diablo sauce covered up the mushiness and freezer burn OK. Breadstick had icky dehydrated garlic and a definite old taste to it, but the texture was nicely fluffy. The iceberg-dominated salad was 100% unremarkable, though I have to wonder whether it would have been better if I got the actual raspberry vinaigrette dressing I'd requested instead of a bland, sugary "balsamic" vinaigrette. He chowed down on his tuna melt and fresh-from-the-freezer fries, and I have to say the sandwich looked like the best thing we were served, but I'm pretty sure his devouring it was based on the fact that it was 1 p.m. and he hadn't had breakfast. Service: Bleh. Our waitress got the job done, but she wanted to be there as much as I did. Atmosphere: lots of TVs to distract you from the nasty chairs. Everything was old and worn out except said TVs.
