| - So i went on yelp to look for a nice nail place as my nails were not up to par for a Job interview I am having on Wednesday. i found a very nice picture taken by one of their clients on Yelp of a peachy color with gold sparkles. very simple but elegant. I sat down and showed the picture to the one doing my nails and he said he knew how to do that no problem. up to the point of filling and buffing the new nails he took his time and i was hopeful. however short after something must have changed caused he started to rush and not thin them out as he had promised. he asked that i go wash my hands and pick a color... i mentioned that i did not know what color they had used on the client in the picture that i had showed him and his response was (its okay lots of colors to pick from). I gave up and just went washed my hands and then went to look at nail polish color. i picked a light, almost pink more than peach color and was deciding that it wasn't the right color, when he came up behind me and took the color saying it was good and pretty color. he then applied it and added sparkles but not the gold one. before i had a chance to say anything he said "very pretty" and asked that i place hands under UV light. then he walked away and never came back. i waited about 10 minutes before someone noticed that i was waiting and asked if i was done and i replied, "i don't know he just walked off"i was asked if he had applied the top coat and i said no, they went to back and asked him and he came out on the phone to say yes he had. another chick looked at my nails and said they were not shinny and that it looked like he had not added the top coat so she went ahead and did it.
the other thing was that my friend and i wanted to wax our eyebrows, according to my friend she was not very happy as the chick did not seem to know what she was doing and that she would have rather gone else where. My experience however was with an older woman, who waxed and plucked, yet when i looked i could still see different spots that she had missed right above my eyelid. when i pointed this out she said no that she did not see anything and that it was clean... i had to actually guide her plucker for her to actually see what i meant. Usually when i wax eyebrows they sting a little for about 5 mins or so and then its gone. This time my friend and i went to eat and about 30-40 mins later i still could feel my eyebrows sting.
All in all, it was not an experience that makes me want to go back. my nails are only up to par, but nothing like i expected them to look like, and eyebrows, after a bit more plucking finally look okay. only reason they get 3 stars was the extra star for friendliness and offering water as soon as we sat down.
