  • I have been to Stand Up Scottsdale 3 different times now and the comedy acts are awesome. Sometimes the openers aren't so good but the main acts and the usuals (Howard H. and a chubbyish guy) are always hilarious. The place is not all that big but how many good comedy clubs are huge??? The best ones are the intimate ones, unless there is a loud drunken hoochie sitting in front of you. Our last visit, there was a girl who obviously had too much to drink, she was yelling to the people she was with, who acted like she was doing nothing wrong. She even spilled a drink down a couples back that was sitting on the other side of the balcony area. The management at the club seemed to be keeping an eye on her but never did anything about it. This is the reason I did not give Stand Up Scottsdale 5 stars. I felt that they should have gotten this girl and her guest out of the establishment so that everyone around her could enjoy themselves. My friends and i could not even tell you one thing that the comedian said in the last 20 minutes of his act. The table next to us even left early. Overall, if there are no ridiculously drunk and inconsiderate people to deal with, then Stand Up Scottsdale is GREAT! The staff is nice and the acts are top notch, but DO NOT bring children or easily offended people to the shows!!!!
