  • We went to the festival on July 22nd, 2017. We got there right as they opened and got a nice parking spot. It had rained that day and one of the guys directing the traffic flow accidentally stepped in a huge puddle while directing us. He let out a nice long and loud string of colorful words. I thought the ordeal was hilarious, but the mom getting of the car next to us with her 4 year old on her hip wasn't amused. Entrance fee is CASH ONLY, which let's face it, is a hassle because it's 2017 and most people don't carry a lot of cash. There was a few Irish food choices, and that was cool. There's also regular fair food like fries, funnel cakes, pizza and cotton candy. Lots of live Irish bands performing and plenty of buildings filled with crafts, shirts, hats, magnets, socks, kilts.... anything Irish! Most of the stuff I felt was on cheap side, but it was still fun to look at. This festival was nice, but I have definitely been to more exciting and interesting festivals. If you're in the area, it's worth checking out for a bite to eat and to learn about Irish culture. We drove an hour to come, and I don't think we'd do it again.
