| - At last, the Holy Grail: I've found an honest body shop! Express Collision Center is in every sense a top-class outfit--Jim and Renée are lovely folks to deal with, decent and completely straightforward. Our ancient all-American luxury car was suffering from an ugly, sagging bumper; someone hit the thing in a parking lot, bending the right side support bracket downward, which created the sad appearance of looming decay.... When you drive an old barge, important to maintain it respectably.
My husband called a dozen collision repair companies around Las Vegas, each with their own expensive approach to my car's annoying problem. And then he reached Jim, whose friendly, professional manner convinced him to drive down Flamingo Road to secure a quote in person. That inspection process was pleasant and informative. And the quote itself, exceedingly reasonable. We agreed to drop off the land yacht early on a Monday. The work was done to a high standard by the next afternoon. My sedan hasn't looked this swell in twenty-five years! And for the record, a massively cumbersome trailer hitch was removed as part of the deal we made, and Jim even installed a couple of missing license plate screws for me on the very morning when I picked up the vehicle, the sort of kindness we do not often experience these days.
Jim and Renée operate a truly independent shop. With considerable experience in the complex corporate automotive world, Jim grew determined to control his customers' experiences from beginning to end. My husband was amazed at how many local, and especially national, collision repair specialists refuse to work on vehicles older than ten years. (The owner of one such business explained that unless the old car in question is a classic model of some kind, there is little incentive to find what parts are needed to repair it, which is at once understandable and frustrating.)
What sold us on Express Collision Center was Jim's tasteful acceptance that bad stuff happens to cars of every age, and that he would do whatever was needed to correct the damage. And to top off my grateful review, the fair estimate we were given yielded a beautiful repair that actually cost 30-percent less than what Jim originally predicted it would--Express Collision Center is the best outfit in town!
