  • This is the second time I've been back to Elite Nails since my last review and as promised here is my opinion based on three visits. On the positive side: The nail salon is very clean and has a large selection of nice quality nail polish colors. I was offered hot tea as soon as I was in the pedicure chair. Now the bad news: I had an appointment for a regular mani/pedi. I began with the pedicure.... the technician escorted me to the pedicure chair and told me to remove my shoes and soak my feet. Following her instruction, I did. OMG...The water was so hot (and I am not fragile about hot water), that I practically came off the chair! She chucked, added water and I tried again.... still burning my feet. On the third try, it was very hot but tolerable. The "callous treatment " followed. An up charge was added for callous removal. What a disappointment. I could do better callous removal at home. Then a towel was taken directly from the heater and placed over my legs, practically peeling the skin off. I screeched and the towel was removed. The technician said "oh too hot?" Yikes.... is this your first day as a nail technician? Now polish was applied to my toes, followed by lotion ...(no real massage). On to the manicure: For some reason I was not taken to the manicure station and there were several that were available. Instead, the manicure was done on towels as I sat in the pedicure chair. My cuticles were clipped first (drawing blood), nail polish applied and then the lotion was squirted into her hands, she then pulled my sleeve up and the lotion rubbed onto my forearm. There was no hand massage. Honestly I think she may have forgotten that a hand massage is usually done before applying the nail color. Within one hour of returning home, my thumbnail is smudges and I have cuticles that hurt and will take weeks of oil to recover. In conclusion I paid $56.00 to have my feet and legs burned, cuticles ruined and overall not a relaxing experience. I will not be returning.
