| - I visited Dolce for the first time because I had a Groupon and a gift Certificate that I received for my birthday. I would probably never come here otherwise, but after some coaxing about deserving a spa day I succumbed.
I decided to treat my co-worker to a spa day also since she needed it too. The stylist was amazing. Her name was Gina. When I made the appointment I said two of us for cut and color, style, brow waxing. We'd like to have stylists next to each other since its a girls day. The response was "absolutely you will have to both see level 3 stylists is that okay"? (I'm in sales I get it) I said "that's perfect"!
Let me back up a bit and say at this point I'd been on the phone 25 min. trying to make the appointment?
The night mare begins. We get to Dolce, there is no record of our appointment? 25 minutes on the phone last week? No record? They finagle us in somehow after 10 minutes of discussions and we are at opposite sides of the salon. Bummer, but we will live. As Gina goes to mix my color I run over to say hi to my friend, she looks bummed. She's been told they can only trim her hair and they don't have time for her color. And the hairdresser said she would be back to do the trim in 1/2 hour she was already with a client? At my insistence we got up to leave. I apologized to my stylist and said we are not staying. Here is where the story turns positive! Gina the gem of the entire place decides she is doing both of us. Hooray! We get to hang out together, we are having fun, we are playin musical chairs and laughing like kids. Our hair is amazing and we are thrilled. Thanks to this one employee! Not Dolce.
We get our eyebrows waxed and are happy and ready to go. I stopped at the front desk to pay and was not allowed to use my groupon and gift card at the same time. The gift card was purchased it was not promotional?? I don't understand? It was bought for 80.00 during a special where 80.00 got you an additional 20.00 to make it a 100.00 gift card. Nope can't use it. I used the groupings and left with my gift card:( I'm gonna have to come back here, uh oh.
2 mos later here I am, went back Gina is no longer there. The one beacon of light in this place. Oh no. They put me with someone else of the same "level 3 caliber". I'm just getting roots dyed and eyebrows waxed. I left with dye all the way down the back of my neck, and a forehead that looked like Eddie Monster. Thank god there is only 30.00 left on my gift card. That's about enough for an eyebrow wax in this place, and those girls did great. I am going to try to put a photo of my neck under tips if you'd like to see it. 2 stars only for Gina and the girls that wax. 0 for Dolce.
