I have been here several times and while the quality of meat and food in general is excellent the service aspect could use some work.
I have been here a few times and I can say Goong definitely has the best quality of any of the Korean BBQ restaurants I've been to in town. They always have a nice variety of side dishes and their entrees are reasonably priced. They have a few platters for parties of 2-3 or more which are great. I especially enjoy the Beef Platter. It's $65 and servers 2-3 people. They have a pork one as well which is $45.
The downfall to this restaurant and for my experience is the aggressiveness of the servers. Each time I've been here with my Korean friend the servers will rip the utensil out of her hand when she is flipping the meat. At any other restaurant they let you cook it however one time when we came here the server even said something as she was clearly upset that he kept taking the tongs from her. Today we had only been seated for a few minutes and we were asked 3 times if we were ready to order. We clearly were not.
If the interpersonal skills were better this place would be top knotch.
