I just wanted to send a note to say what a great job the nurse Nicole at Comfort Hospice did for my mother. I signed her up for hospice care in October after it became clear she could not take care of herself with more help in the home. My initial experience with Comfort Hospice was not good - a lot of things were not covered as discussed and we went through a few different CNAs for various reasons which caused some stress on everyone.
Nicole came into that situation where none of us were particularly happy and took ownership and charge of a situation that she hadn't created. That's tough to do in my experience. She did everything she said she would do. She went above and beyond to assist in getting her into assisted living which required some tests. I was mostly the face of things for Mom but Nicole really helped me and the family spend so much less time worrying about the details of her pain management and personal care and spend more time with her doing things as a family.
I am so sad today that my Mom is no longer with us, I just wanted to say a tragic process was a bit easier because of the hospice care led by Nicole. That's all I could ever ask for. Thank you.
