This hotel is hit or miss: some stays it's fantastic and others stays have had a collection of issues. We've stayed in the property several times a year for the last 6 years.
Last weekend's stay had problems: the fireplace didn't work, housekeeping never showed up, the mattress was sagging on the sides, the bathtub /shower was so slippery as to be dangerous, and the party in the suite above us had 5 small children who loved to run in circles for hours until I called the front desk to complain. We return every year because it's in a great location, it has a full kitchen, and a basketball court and fitness room for my boys. For the Cleveland area it's an expensive hotel. For DC, where we're from, it's a bargain.
If you like to have food options on vacation -- it's a great choice with an equipped kitchen. It's close to restaurants and convenient to I-71. A hot buffet breakfast is served every morning. The food was better when the hotel was run by Marriott, but it's much nicer than the standard continental breakfast.
The WiFi is adequate unless your kids are gamers. My son's online Fortnight game was glitchy which irritated him to no end. It was fine for e-mail and Facebook. Parking is plentiful and free.
Housekeeping is a problem every time we stay there. The rooms need larger trash cans or else provide dumpsters to empty the trash on our own. They don't withhold towels intentionally but seem to operate on the principle that if you really need some you have a phone to call the front desk.
For us, it's the best bargain in the area despite the unintentionally shabby chic aura so we will most likely continue to stay there for future visits.
