  • Sold for them last Summer. They rarely have solicitor permits and don't do background checks on employees. We had to move locations frequently after being contacted by the local police. They will ask for a $50 activation fee which DirecTV will not. Roll of the dice on who installs your satellite. Some technicians are good, but we had guys who would show up in wife beaters and even skip out on appointments. One even fell through a ceiling. Call center and most reps will hide or downplay price increases in the 2nd year of the contract and once you've been activated NOW is out of the picture and DirecTV is then in charge of any of their mistakes. There is honestly no reason not to call up DirecTV and have it installed by the company itself. Although I can't say I'm all that impressed with them either.
