| - Oh, how I love this lovely place! Although I have tried neither the cherry pie nor the ice cream, I often wander into its old-fashioned, softly- lit interior and marvelled at the delicate giftwares and beautiful sugarwares that she (Madeleine) has to offer.
An array of freshly-baked pastries are displayed under glass, begging you to take multiples home- especially the divine mini-cupcakes for $.75! People (ie. I) can't resist anything under a dollar, nor can they resist buying larger quantities of anything under a dollar. They also can't resist sugar. Seriously, it's a problem- except here, because they're so small, it's practically healthy! They are also always, always moist and delicious. Of course, the petit Madelines are also there to represent, in a few flavourful varieties.
On my to-do list: trying the FIVE layer cake (that's five different kinds of cake, y'all), as well as the coconut cream pie, both on display in the back fridge, and most importantly, finally having weekend brunch in the gorgeous garden patio. *Le sigh*.
