  • so I'm not sure why there are low reviews. The staff is pretty nice, and the owners are hands on with running the place - which is something I've never seen at a gym before. The weight machines/racks/benches are pretty busy in evenings - but I have always been able to work in and get my sets in without slowing me down - the patrons are pretty nice. But if you don't like cooperating with others then just come in later or earlier in the day :) there was a comment that it is hot in the summer. I asked about this before joining as I'm a big baby about humidity/heat. They told me the a/c broke and was working at 30%; parts had been ordered and it would be fixed within 2 weeks. I'll admit this sent off allarms in my head. But it was fixed within 5 days. Someone said it smells like socks. I didn't smell that - but check it out yourself and see Some criticisms: There aren't as many plates/weights as some other places I've been to although it could also just be that like many gyms people don't put their weights away and sometimes you have to search them out. Sometimes it takes me a bit of time to move the plates from other areas to where I need them. Sometimes it takes a minute or so to find the dumbbells I need (because some clown has decided to leave the all piled up from where he decided to do a 7x7 and not put ANY of them back!! but this happens at every gym) The classes are mostly at daytime hours and they tend to end pretty early in the evening - check out the schedule and see if it works for you (its posted online). There were a couple of stationary bikes I couldn't get to work. but I just moved over to another one that did (stationary bikes tend to be very underused at gyms - so its possible no one has told them about these) . I have never had a problem with an elliptical being broken or not working. And I have always been able to get one (although I work out at around 9pm when the evening rush is over). There are tvs hanging from the ceiling above the cardio area - but not on the machines themselves (and that means I don't think theres any way to hear them - you just have to read the closed captioning). I don't care about this since I normally read or listen to music on my phone, but I know this probably matters to some people. I wanted to leave a detailed review because I'm pretty happy with this place but I also want to strongly encourage people to do their homework before joining this or any gym. Try the place out and visit at the time of day when you work out most to see what its like. The owners are awesome and they ask you how things are going. very approachable. They have a thing where they give you a better deal on your first time in. Ask about it. I switched from another gym in the area which is a little nicer looking but the machines I was using were starting to break and were never fixed (when I say never I mean I'd been asking about it for 5 months) . They also jacked up my rates to the same as everyone else after I had been there for 5 years. They had 4 broken big screen tv's (for 4 months...I left and they were still broken). but they had a ton of classes and decided to make another studio for them (while still not replacing the broken tv's) I only mentione the above because as a customer I felt like the last place wasn't catering towards people like me. But I feel like Body vision does. and body vision is HALF the price!!!
