I first called Signature to get an estimate for a very basic wedding cake to feed 180 people. My now husband and I live on the opposite side of the city, he travels for work, and I work 12+ hour days. It's really hard for us to make it into the South Hills just to get pricing. As their website suggests "If you are an out of town bride we will try our best to work within your busy schedule!" I called the wedding cake line, spoke to a woman, and simply asked "About how much would a basic 3-tier cake for 180 people cost?" and I was told "I don't have time for this" and was hung up on. I was upset as planning a wedding can be very stressful. My husband called and talked with a man and explained the situation with our jobs and location and asked for just an estimate so we could decide if it was worth making an appointment for and promised that if the cost was in our price range we would make the necessary arrangements. He was able to get a little more information so he asked one more question "Can we also order different cakes for a dessert cake bar?" and he was told the same "I don't have time for this shit" and he was also hung up on.
