This gem is extremely surprising and a true note of the saying "Don't judge a book by its cover". My husband and I were dressed to the nines as we were heading to a Red Carpet event in Uptown and wanted dinner prior to the event so we made reservations at Fiamma.
As we pulled into the lot and parked we looked to each other and said "We are WAY overdressed", as I grabbed the train to my formal gown after my husband opened the car door for me. He buttoned his tux and we proceeded to the door as we observed the consignment store next door and other stores in the strip mall. The closer we got to the door the more we thought we may have come to the wrong restaurant for dinner before the event.
Once we entered the restaurant and was greeted by the great host and seated at our amazing table at the front of the restaurant where we were greeted by our amazing server.
Our food was super amazing from start to finish and the fact that our server made us aware that everything is made from scratch and take a little extra time so we were made aware which made the wait seamless (though it was a long wait).
Out came the bread for the table (I'm on carb restrictions so I didn't indulge, however my husband devoured it) hot and fresh alongside bread-sticks and some olive oil.
We ordered the scallops and mushroom appetizer which was over whipped and creamy cauliflower. This was DELICIOUS.
There were 8 specials and instead of looking over the long and very detailed menu, we decided to go with the specials. I had the Seabass special that came with artichokes, asparagus and sweet potatoes. My husband had the Seabass special with asparagus and fettuccine. Both were extremely fresh and flavorful. In between course we were served sorbet to clean our palette. Upon receiving our check we were given Lemon Chello for an after dinner drink which we both didn't indulge in as we both had wine with dinner.
The server is 5 star, the food was 5 star and the ambiance was great though we were overdressed. People had on nice attire so it's totally okay to be dressed to impressed like we were ;-)
