| - Everything is great, until you go to cancel.
I could not afford to go anymore do to financial struggles, but they won't let me cancel. When I called they were nice and told me that I would have to wait FIVE MONTHS to cancel. I was a little irritated but thought well, I guess I will have to wait it out.
My two sisters are also members. My older sister called to cancel when her five months are up. They told her that she needs to come in when their Manager MICELLE is in (Which from what I have heard is never there) and that once she cancels her membership, she has to wait ANOTHER 60 DAYS!! are you kidding me?!
So they tell you that you CAN cancel in 5 months, and when my sisters and I asked when we signed up we were told that to cancel all we would have to do is see MICHELLE. Well, after signing that contract in the middle of our sessions, feeling rushed, we just signed the contract. We thought we were getting a great deal, and everyone was so kind.
You can NOT just cancel. Multiple times I called them and left messages and never got a reply.
On the times an employee did answer, I was reassured that you cancel in the five months and that is it, that yes that is all I have to do! After hearing from my sisters about the extra 60 days , I decided to call and ask about it today. I left them a message.
Surprisingly an Employee did call me back (Amanda). I told her what my sisters told me about the EXTRA 2 MONTHS I WOULD HAVE TO PAY AFTER I CANCEL. The employee then proceeded to tell me that it was all in my contract, and there is nothing they can do. I let them know that it was ridiculous, and why say I can cancel in five months when it is really SEVEN MONTHS. She let me know that every place like a gym, or spa does the same thing. I have been to multiple gyms and this was NEVER THE CASE. I let her know that I was told every other time that I called that after the five months I could cancel, and that is it. Amanda usually answers the phones there, and I am sure it was her whom I have heard it from months prior.
Well,Big shocker..... she claims that those employees left and are no longer working there, and that she is sorry we were misinformed . I signed up in JULY, and I asked her well, what day is my five months up so I can go in and cancel my membership. Amanda told me that it would be FEBUARY 1st. Now, I am not the smartest person but I know for a fact that is totally wrong. So now, they are trying to tell me that February is my 5th month, and that I will have to pay for two more after that. So they are trying to get me for NINE MONTHS.
This place disgusts me. It is sad that people cant be trusted when they are so kind to you in the beginning. All they do is give you the run around when you want to cancel, and CONTINUE TO LIE CONSANTLY.
I will be warning people from this place for a long time to come. And will be writing my reviews on this place all over. I wish they were as nice as they were in the beginning. DO NOT GET REELED IN, IT IS NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE WHEN YOU CAN NO LONGER AFFORD IT IN OUR ECONOMY. I am unable to pay bills because of this. AND THEY HAVE *NO* SYMPATHY FOR YOU.
I posted a positive review when I signed up, but due to all of this drama, I made sure to delete it.

I WILL BE OUT $360 IF I GET TO CANCEL IN THE FIVE MONTH PLUS 60 MORE DAYS. WE SHALL SEE.....
