Doing some shopping inside Vons this morning and you know those days that you should of stayed in bed! That's me! Just did not want to get up at all.
The cure to this problem is solvable with the lovely stand in the front of the store: Starbucks. Starbucks is the cure all to most issues. It turns chaos to kindness. This is my second coffee today so it should give me the jolt I so badly need.
The beacon and sirens calls of the green sign, release me again. I am ordering yet again just a medium drip coffee with cream and sugar. The barista asked me if it would be alright to add the milk to my coffee. I requested 2%. The reason for inquiring is due to the fact this milk decanter is no longer kept on the condiment bar.
Being the only customer at this Starbucks currently she made the coffee while we chatted. There was this fabulous looking cooking that was staring back at me. I gave into sprinkles temptation and ordered the Confetti Cookie. The sparkly confetti part tastes amazing with a zing of lemon hiding in there. The cookie was your basic sugar cookie with sprinkle goodness baked into it.
The amazing barista greeted me with the warmest of smiles. Kept the small chit chat going while making the coffee. She was very kind and nice to talk with. Her demeanor was peaceful and comforting. I find that it is harder these days to find individuals that can do more than one thing at a time, and still carry on a worthy conversation.
This Starbucks being inside of the Vons has that small town feel here. There is no drive thru and in today's day it is go go go. One has to come and retrieve there own coffee from inside this store. That makes this particular Starbucks unique. The interactions here between the staff and customers are personalized and not comprised.
The next time I need my coffee with a special bit of magic I will come here. The coffee rescued me from lethargy and gave me the oh so needed boost I had to have with sprinkles!
