  • Brought my cat in over the weekend for vomiting. I knew it was going to be a long and pricey afternoon. $125 exam on weekends/after hours and goes up to $175(est) if you make an appoointment weekdays. The receptionist said that it's like seeing your PCP but then weekdays you see a specialist. Doesn't make sense to me, but ok. The swinging saloon doors that lead from the waiting area to the back are loud and people are constantly going back and forth. If you have a skittish pet, this might be bad. My cat was not a true emergency but wanted him to be seen by a Vet ASAP. The receptionist was very nice and professional. As i was waiting in the exam room, I heard techs talking the whole time. Thin walls seperate the back and the exam room. I heard one "Oh relax!" and "Quit it" not sure if she was speaking to an animal or a coworker but still a raised voice. My cat is skittish and the vet tech took him back to get his vitals and weigh him and never brought him back. After 15mins she comes back in saying she was waiting on the vet Omar to examine him and that my cat was difficult to get out of his carrier so she put him in a cage in the back to wait. Ok??? Why didn't she just bring him back into the exam room with me? Why doesnt the vet examine my cat in front of me in the exam room? She gave me an ETA of 5mins. . Spent about half hour total waiting to see the vet. Which is not bad according to the Please be Patient sign in the exam room with instructions to only ask the front desk about how much longer after a 20min minimum wait. But no big deal, I was patient and played games on my phone knowing my cat was safe in a cage in the back. Long story short, the vet tech brings me my cat and the vet comes in with the diagnosis and a couple plans of action. Xrays are $250 so I declined those for now. However, for the proposed treatment of fluids and Pepcid, I went back to the front desk asking for an estimate. I thought, I can't pay for a $50 bag of fluids. Tech came back in and went over the cost line by line. This was great. I approved and we left knowing that my pet's situation wasn't as bad as i thought. I was expecting to spend $200 and spent $234. Not too out of budget. I would recommend this office for true emergencies only. My cat was taken care of and quality of care was good. No complaints in that area. Just other little things, other than the high cost of treatment, would have me not come back. If you are looking for a regular vet office, there are better ones available, however keep this office address and number on hand for real emergencies.
